Adelphi Accepted

International Orientation Information

Orientation for F-1 and J-1 International Students is mandatory. It is an essential part of your college experience and it will help to make your transition to Adelphi a smooth one.

As an international student, whether a resident or commuter, we want you to feel confident, focused and comfortable on your first day of class. A big part of that is achieved at Orientation where you will learn about the campus and get to know other members of your class.

How Do I Get Started?

In order to register, you will need to have completed all the required documentation needed to receive your form I-20 or DS-2019. After all documents are received, you will be sent your I-20 or DS-2019. You will be able to register for Orientation once you receive this number in this packet.

For a full list of requirements, please contact the Office of Admissions.

 » Register for International Orientation

All orientation events are held on our Garden City campus. When you arrive, check-in at the Performing Arts Center. We will guide you from there. You will find a community dedicated to answering your questions and helping you every step of the way.

What Happens During Orientation?

International students will register with the Office of International Services, complete necessary paperwork needed as an F-1 or J-1 student, familiarize themselves with the campus, learn about facilities and services offered at Adelphi and have a chance to ask questions, get their ID card, purchase books and finalize the details prior to beginning class.
